So given a total of 7 Provinces, 7 Cities and only 5 Preferences to chose from I would say it took me what seemed like well over 30 minutes to decide which 5 would make it to the preference sheet. I have still not yet chosen the order to place these in besides thinking that Jeju would be my top choice. I'm still working on it though. I chose out of the provincial offerings Chungbuk, Gangwon, and Jeju, and of the city offerings Daegu, and Daejeon. Honestly sooo many of the options looked seriously appealing and that was the main reason it took me so long to narrow them down. I felt like a women who works in the UN screening applicants, there really were sooo many qualifying options narrowing it down was truly difficult. Or course this ultimately led me to desire to live in Korean even more than I was initially because now I could seen more clearly just how vase the array of wonderfulness in the country is. Well I could read it.
Deciding that incorporating possible increased salary due to living in more rural areas was really me being money hungry I ignored salary (some what) and looked into possible city placements as well as provincial ones. Also a Korean friend of mine who I attended university with encouraged me to chose to live in a city if I wanted to hook-up with other people in our organization, participate in activities and possibly know someone who spoke English. Even though her suggestion that I not pick middle school as a choice other than last for age group placement was something I chose not to do.
I need to re-read the location bios offered by the various POE offices on the EPIK site and chose from there messages the order of the locations. Those messages were the same messages with has be selection the locations I did. I felt wooed and sincerely wanted. ♥ That's the way I like to be pursued ^_~
